3/15/11 - "107th Infantry Memorial"

"107th Infantry Memorial"

This monument, which is on Fifth Avenue and 67th Street in Manhattan, was designed and sculpted by Karl Illava, who served as a sergeant in the 107th during World War I. It was conceived in 1920, and was placed just outside the park wall and unveiled in 1927.

I am not totally happy with how this image has come out, and I may very well do some more editing on it. If I do, I'll repost it on today's blog, as I've a bunch of other pictures I'm itching to get up as well - especially a few more I shot yesterday at the Seaford train station.
