     Henry David Thoreau's philosophy, succinctly captured on a sign, by the site of his original cabin, where he lived from 1845 to 1847. Walden Pond State Reservation in Concord, Massachusetts. My two back-to-back morning visits there in September were trips to my personal Mecca.
