Heading Home
A never-before posted picture of our now demolished housebarge and former home Hope - which is what we named her, after our seven month ordeal of trying to get her back afloat. In this picture she was heading back to her home port, across Ocean Avenue in Seaford, NY - 21 days after being tossed ashore by Hurricane Sandy, on October 31st, 2013. A fantastic job of raising and moving her back was accomplished by Bay Crane. She weighed 75,000 lbs., which is thirty seven and a half tons.
