"Home for the Holidays"
This is the very first photo I shot with my new camera and lens, just over three weeks ago. It's a view of the front bow window, in the living room of my girlfriend Sally's parents house; it's a house that's nearly identical to the one I grew up in, less than a mile away.
This year, for the first time in many years, Sally will be in her childhood home for the holidays; and I'll be able to accompany her, to my first home-cooked Thanksgiving Day feast in five years. So even though we now live together, in a house-barge a town away from where we both grew up, each of us, in very similar but very different ways, will be "Home for the Holidays."
