"Elevation Unknown"
Just looking at this picture, with no other information being given, it would be impossible to guess its' true size - much less its' actual location. There is nothing visible in this image to give a sense of scale or geographical placement. It could be in the Himalayas, the Alps, the Andes or in Alaska; or one of dozens of other mountain ranges. It could also, just as easily, be a snowbank in your backyard: Have you looked closely at a snowdrift lately?
I like the anonymity of the unknown, at least in relation to this photograph. I could easily disclose its' true size and true location, but I've a hunch it may be better to leave it to one's own imagination. Sometimes reality is less vivid than illusion.
