"Francesca's House"
The house that was fully restored, after being abandoned for over 35 years, for use as Francesca's home in the the film version of "The Bridges of Madison County." This view was from the side of the road, as I shot through a hoarfrost-coated barbed wire fence and wild grasses.
This house is actually 16 miles from Winterset, Iowa - where the 6 remaining covered bridges (out of the original 19) are located .
"Francesca's House 2"
These pictures were all from the side of the road in front of the house - that's the closest you can get now, as it's been closed to the public since being burned in an arson fire in 2003.

"Francesca's House 3"
Another view of this late 1800's homestead.
