"Parallax Parking 3 B+W"
So I did a re-shoot, with my Canon 5D this time, of the scene for yesterday's Picture of the Day, as I was on my way into work yesterday afternoon. It's from a slightly closer vantage point, and I've cropped the resultant image differently. I feel this image, and the color version I'm also embedding here, are much stronger images than the ones I posted yesterday; and so I'm giving them there own day in the sun, so to speak.
Here's a Google Map street level view of where these photos were shot:

Tomorrow's PotD will be an homage to Georgia O'Keefe. It's a photo manipulation of a macro photograph I originally shot in August of 2007, while I was spending my first summer in 8 years back in the house my daughters were born in. It was the last year I spent there, before we sold that house in Massapequa - a house filled with memories, mostly good ones! I've been working on a re-edited version of that image for most of the week; and being that I have my one day off for the week today, I should be able to finish it up - that and a slew of other details.
Here's a peek at the original picture:
This image hasn't received much attention as of yet; but I'm hoping that will change with tomorrow's re-interpretive, obeisant version.
