"Homage to MC Escher"
A stairwell inside the EUE/Screen Gem Studios, on East 44th Street in Manhattan. This is where the Rachael Ray show is being taped - a show I've been working on occasionally for a number of years, now. Unfortunately, this staircase is now off-limits, behind a fire-alarmed door; so I'm very glad I got these shots three years ago, while I was still able to. I could possibly still enter this staircase, with camera in hand, at the lobby level - and walk up 7 flights of stairs - if I want to try and re-capture this image with my newer camera, and I may just do so...when I ever get a round tuit.

While I like this image very much also, I prefer the black and white version, as I feel it's more in keeping with Escher's original aesthetic.
