Today's photo - the ninth in this series from Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park, NY. This picture is a variation on a theme of Wednesday's Picture of the Day. It's also about one of the four large urns that grace the rear portico of this manse, which was built in 1898, by Frederick William Vanderbilt. He was the grandson of "Commodore" Cornelius Vanderbilt, who was the richest man in America during his lifetime.
