"'Job Rated' - '53 Dodge B Series Pickup"
A fifth image from this series on a derelict Dodge pickup truck, at Treasure Island Marina, which is about 1/4 mile from my home.
Dodge first began promoting its trucks as being job rated in 1939, meaning that they were designed for specific service demands. The first new models since 1939 came in 1948 with the introduction of the Pilot-house models, which featured better visibility and a higher, more spacious cab.
I don't know how long this truck has been 'out to pasture' here in Seaford, but as it's parked facing the bay it has a prime waterfront viewpoint - a million dollar view! - similar to what I see out my back doors.
