"Christine's Forgotten Cousin - '53 Dodge Pickup"
The Christine referenced in today's title is the name of the car - a 1958 Plymouth Fury - from the novel of the same name, which was written by Stephen King and published in 1983. A film adaptation was released later that same year. The storyline is of a vintage car which is apparently possessed by supernatural forces.
When I first started doing research on this pickup truck, which I've been featuring here for the last week, I had no idea of its vintage: I knew only that it was a Dodge. As I was toying with idea of borrowing the name Christine for this picture's title, I couldn't recall what make and model year that vehicle was. When I learned that both were by the same manufacturer, and only three years apart in age, I decided that maybe this truck could be a distant relation to that fictional car: Why not? It's my picture and my blog, n'est-ce pas? If you have a problem with that, maybe I can arrange a little visit from the reel-life Christine...
