"Implements of Destruction"
I was sitting in the chair in my dentist's office last Thursday morning, waiting for Round Two of my first root canal in over 30 years, when I noticed these drill bits awaiting their implementation. I pulled out my little Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital ELPH from its usual place - in a small pouch on my belt - and snapped a few photos.
Hours later, when the Novocain wore off while at work, I was in extreme agony - and ibuprofen just wasn't cutting it. But if I'm going to be in pain, I might as well be getting paid for it. When I got home at 1 am, I took one of the prescribed pain pills and went to sleep. I woke up at 5:30 am, still in pain; but I took another pill and went back to sleep. When I next awoke a few hours later I was pain-free, and have had no more pain since then.
A week from this coming Thursday I go back again, but it should be a painless visit. The dentist was able to install the post on that last visit, so this next time should just be all about the crown. I guess I'll get my first clue if I'm right if I see no drill bits waiting for me there on the tray.
