"Poetry in Motion at 5:13 AM"
A Great Egret, startled into flight from my dock as I approached, very early in the morning recently. I was fortunate to even capture just this one frame before he was out of range. While I wasn't in love with this image when I first viewed it, as I usually prefer to have my pictures be tack-sharp, I did find that I liked the multiple images of this bird-in-flight, almost as if there were multiple exposures contained within this 1/3 second shot. The various colors present are nearly as they were recorded by the camera, with only some increase of saturation and contrast applied with Photoshop.
