"Stained Glass Triptych - Center"
The level of detail and the quality of craftsmanship in this second of three stained glass panels, which are from Europe and date to the 1200's, is amazing to me in its intricacy. The large window in which these panels have been incorporated is in Coe Hall, which is situated in the Gold Coast Estate known as Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, NY - on the tony North Shore of Long Island.
Tomorrow's Picture of the Day will be another panel that is the third part to this triptych. I also have a photo of the triptych in its entirety, which I will post on Sunday. That will bring this series of images from last Sunday's Father's Day visit to, and first-ever tour of, Coe Hall up to seven; and I still have at least one more to go after that. I also have more pictures from a trip we made to Planting Fields a few weeks ago, which I'll be posting as part of this series too.
