"Stained Glass Triptych - Left"
This is the first of the three stained glass insets which were, according to what I was told by a docent there recently, acquired in Europe by the Coe's and date from the 1200's. They are contained together, side by side, in a much larger window on the first floor of Coe Hall. This historic Gold Coast Mansion is the centerpiece of the State Park known as Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, NY.
I'll be posting the other two stained glass insets, as well an image including all three together, over the next few day, as part of this ongoing series on Coe Hall.
