While this image was captured almost three months ago, I'm just now getting around to posting it today. This was shot at Jones Beach State Park, about a half mile due west of the Jones Beach Theater.
I believe this plant is a variety of Beach Rose, or Rosa Regusa. These very hardy and very abundant shrubs are a common find along many beaches.
