I was going to start posting more images from our visit to the William Floyd Estate today but I decided to upload this "one-off" image instead, first. This photo was shot at the Seaford LIRR train station, and the green arrow points to the platform level bench this picture is of.
I've already posted what I feel may the best photo I took at William Floyd previously. It's a black and white shot of the family cemetery on the estate grounds, which dates back to the 1700's! I do have more images to post from that days' visit, on a sunny Sunday afternoon, exactly one month ago today. I hope to start with those tomorrow - unless I decide to put up another "one-off" first.
Today's photo, though, is a macro picture I took one morning, on my way to work in Manhattan, that I shot with my old Canon PowerShot SD1000. I've had this little camera for five years now and, except for a few dings to the outer casing and some dark areas on the screen (but not in the images themselves), it still works like a charm! It's a fantastic backup or second camera, and its small size makes it a perfect carry-every-day-on-my-belt accessory - in its own little pouch and right next to my Leatherman.
