     Originally a store room off the kitchen, of the six room house built in 1724 by Nicoll Floyd, this room was detached and eventually became one of twelve outbuildings on this former 4,400 acre estate in Mastic Beach, NY. Nowadays it's the Park Ranger station, and this National Park - which is part of Fire Island National Seashore -  presently exists on 613 remaining acres.
