This view of the Presidential Range, the northern most section of the White Mountains in New Hampshire, was our first peek at these peaks. Two days' later, though, we drove up Mt. Washington Auto Road - which is celebrating its' 150th anniversary this year - on a relatively rare clear day. This image was captured near the base of Sugar hill Road, which leads to the small town of Sugar Hill. This town had only 563 residents, as of the 2000 census.
