This old piling can be found on the island where the bayhouse known as 996 Crooked Lead resides, in a state of slow decay; south of Wantagh, NY - in the Town of Hempstead's East Bay.
I've shot many images here, during about a half dozen visits - at least - and this is the fifth one to make an appearance on this blog. I'll be posting more captures, from my two latest visits, over the next week or two (as we'll be on vacation next week and away from internet service for a few days).
