Another shot in this series of the bayhouse known as 996 Crooked Lead - south of Wantagh, NY. While I severely cropped this image of an Osprey, to get a fairly decent close-up, I really need a lens longer than what's available with my 24mm to 105mm zoom lens - the only lens I own, for now.
There were three ospreys flying above and around the marshy island where the nest box was; and it appeared to be two juvenile's practicing soaring, while being watched over by mom.
