This is one of the many docks damaged by the strong winds and extreme flooding of Hurricane Irene, along the western shore of Massapequa Cove in NY. When I got my boat back from storage on Thursday night, at Alhambra Marine in Seaford - the next town west, I took a quick ride in it to survey the damage: It was severe.
I'll post a few more images from that night's visit before returning to the already-long series on our week-long vacation trip to New Hampshire - including photos of our drive up to the top of Mt. Washington.
