     A black and white version of an image captured last Monday, the day after Hurricane Irene's visit to Long Island. We took a ride to Gilgo Beach in the Town of Babylon, as it was one of very few ocean beaches open that day. The weather was absolutely beautiful! It was as if the entire atmosphere had been cleansed by the storm. This image is another example of the aftermath from Irene.
