9/17/11: "Palmer, Massachusetts Barn"

Fine Art Prints

I had one objective on Friday, during our drive back to southern New Hampshire, so we could attend a 50th birthday bash on Saturday in Hollis for Sally's sister's fiance, Dave - to stop along the way, and make a pilgrimage to Walden Pond, my personal Mecca. I failed miserably.

The first Walden Pond we were directed to, via a previously inputted location on our GPS device, was not even close. We ended up in the small town of Palmer, by this lovely old barn. As picturesque as it was, though, it was about 60 miles west of where we had hoped to be - at Henry David Thoreau's Walden Pond
