12/14/11 - "Hasbrouck House B&W"

Fine Art Prints and Framing

Abraham Hasbrouck was one of the twelve men who purchased 40,000 acres from the Esopus Indians and founded New Paltz in 1678. Tradition had long held that the distinctive house at the northern end of Huguenot Street was built by Abraham.

While recent studies contradict this, the truth remains that this house is a testament to the industry and success of the Hasbrouck family.
