"Millie the Sheltie"
The family pet of Sally's sister, and her husband and niece, during yesterday's Christmas celebration at Sally's parents' house. I don't often shoot photographs of people, much less of their pets (or any other domesticated animals) but Millie is an exceptionally photogenic - and cooperative - model. She is usually ever on patrol, as it's in her genes, but I was able to snap a couple of pictures of her in a rare state of relative relaxation. Though somewhat relaxed, she was still ever-alert, ensuring that the safety of her flock was never endangered.
P.S. After I had posted a link to today's blog entry, Sally's niece corrected me: Millie's not a Border Collie, she's a Shetland Sheepdog - aka a Sheltie.
