"De-icing in Detroit"
While waiting to depart from Detroit yesterday, on our way to Cedar Rapids in eastern Iowa, we were delayed for awhile in the falling snow so that our small, Delta Airlines CRJ-200 jet could be de-iced. Shortly before shooting this image, and a few others, the flight attendant reminded me to but away my electronic device - i.e. my Canon EOS 5D. I complied, but when I saw the de-icing I couldn't resist: I pulled my camera back out from under the seat in front of me, snapped a few more pictures - including this one - and re-stowed my camera.
After driving from Cedar Rapids to Fairfield yesterday afternoon, and a lovely dinner with Sally's daughters (and one boyfriend), we woke this morning to some freshly falling snow here in southeastern Iowa. I've already been on one photo expedition this morning, while Sally catches up with some old friends, and I may do another this afternoon.
Here's another surreptitious view from inside the plane yesterday, before being admonished to put away my electronic device.
