1/11/11 - "No In-Flight Movie"

"No In-Flight Movie"

An interior view of a Delta Airlines Airbus 320, as we were headed to Detroit Metro Airport, en route to Cedar Rapids and our final destination of Fairfield, Iowa. I'd already shot dozens of photos out the window, and I was looking for something different to shoot. This was it.

"Winging Westward"

Snow was falling moderately at the time, and we were descending through a thick cloud later. The only thing I could see through the window was the left wing of our plane.

"Wi-Fi Onboard"

I took advantage of being able to connect on-line with my netbook computer, for a modest fee of $4.95, mainly for the novelty of it; but also to update my Facebook status, from 30,000 feet high: Just because I could.

"Flaps Fully Down"

Flaps fully extended for landing. I was surprised to see the markings of 0, 10, 15, 20, 40 and 60 (which is not visible in this photo). Maybe that's for use during pre-flight check, or by the ground crew.
