This is the view, looking to the west, from the front dock of the bayhouse I've been featuring here for the last two days. I have a correction to make, though. In the Google Maps links I've included previously, indicating the location of this bayhouse, I inadvertently identified the wrong house. The bayhouse all the way on the right, on the island above the pilings and dock, is the house I wrongly pointed to on the maps. The correct location is here.

This might be my favorite shot from the whole batch. To me, it has an American Gothic feeling to it. In fact, some of these remaining bayhouses - or shacks, as they're affectionately called by some of their owners - have been around for 100 years. I'm posting a black and white version of this picture here also, because I think it's an equally strong image.
