"New Growth Springs Forth"
As I was returning to my car Sunday, during my walk at Massapequa Preserve, I stopped on the no-frills footbridge that leads over the creek feeding into Massapequa Lake. If you click on the footbridge link above, you can see a picture of this bridge, as well as its location.
This rudimentary crossing is part of the Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt Trail, which runs 19.2 miles from the southern end of the lake up to its northern terminus in Cold Spring Harbor. Today's picture was the second of the only two images I shot of this scene, while using my new tripod on that narrow little bridge.
