"Park, Lights, Bay and Urn #3"
I posted a different shot from the same morning, which was almost two weeks ago now, as Picture of the Day last Friday. The last few days I've also uploaded some more images of this same basic location, which were photographed from my floating dock, looking towards Seaman's Neck Park.
The green arrow on the linked-to Google Maps satellite view is where my dock is; and the view I've been featuring is looking due east, at the fishing pier and sodium vapor park lights lining that promenade.
Tomorrow I'll most likely be posting a picture I captured while on the Seaford Long Island Railroad platform, while awaiting the 1:28 pm train to Penn Station in Manhattan earlier this month. After that I'll start working on posting some photos I shot one week ago today, at the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park, NY.
I took a day trip up to Poughkeepsie last Thursday, to hand deliver two framed prints of mine that were selected to be included in the Our Towns Juried Fine Art Exhibition, which will be having an Opening Night reception this Saturday from 4 pm to 6 pm. Before returning to Long Island, and at the recommendation of Laurie Clark - the assistant director at Mill Street Loft - I spent a couple of hours at Vanderbilt, having a sandwich and then shooting a bunch of pictures. It was a beautiful afternoon in a gorgeous setting; and if we have the time Saturday, I hope to return there and share it with my sweetheart Sally Ann.
